Two new 4.250 TEU vessels of identical construction were put under way

2 container vessels of identical construction were put under way in the first half of January 2010 by the HAMMONIA Reederei. On the 5th of January, the MS "HAMMONIA CALABRIA" was delivered, followed by the MS "HAMMONIA GRENADA" on the 15th.

Both vessels will be charter by Compania Sud Americana de Vaproes S.A. (CSAV) for a 5 year period. MS "HAMMONIA CALABRIA" will operate under the assumed charter name "CSAV LA LIGUA", MS "HAMMONIA GRENADA" under "CSAV LARAQUETTE".

The sister vessels both have a max. capacity of 4.256 TEU, are 262,10 m long and 32,25 wide, have a draft of 12,60m and operate at a cruising speed of 24,25 kn. Both ships are members of the 4.200 TEU Döhle Pool.
